We stayed here for 2 nights.
it is surrounded by coffee plantation and is a pleasure to eyes seeing greenary all around.
Stay in kava retreat was a pleasant one. Ambience is homely.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Food here was great, like homemade and very tasty, we relished every bit of it.
They would ask us what can be cooked and would consider our suggestions.
Umaira ma'am, took care of our needs and she was very knowledgeable on the places we could visit and gave us directions. She was a very sweet lady. Loved her company there 😊.
We also met the owner and his wife, they were very helpful.
The rooms were very clean and spacious.
The stay has place to play and they have equipments like volleyballs, cricket, badminton,caroom which can be played there.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and would recommend it to everyone who wants to visit chikmagaluru near mallandur 😊

We recently stayed there with 5 couples friends. The food was tasty.
We will definitely visit again in our next trip to Chikmagalur.
All the tourists sights including Bhadra Tiger reserve, Mullayanagiri Peak, Bandekallu Peak, Shooting Place, Kavikalamatta View Point are at very short distance from here. And even we visited Shri Sharadamba Temple, Shringeri peetham from here in one day.
I would recommend this Homestay to all my dear friends.
Thanks a lot to my friend , through which i came to know about kava retreat !!! special thanks to Shaila , who informed the helpers to take good care of us !! Food was delicious and yummy.. special mention to Subbu anna , who packed us lunch , the day we went out and the day we started back to Bangalore... Few rooms r spacious and few r little small.. we had a good stay there !! Homestay had a big open space ...kids can play around .. evenings we had campfire , good speaker to play music and yummy starters !!
overall , stay was super cool !! I will definitely suggest my other friends too , abt kava retreat..
Beautiful place, very comfortable & convenient location to stay. Nice ambience and feel like home atmosphere in this Home Stay. Food is excellent and mouth watering. Rooms are very spacious and well maintained. Great place to stay, Highly recommended & would definitely want to come back to this place again.
An absolutely amazing two days spent with family amongst nature in this gem of a place. The food was delicious, such variety and each and every item was so tasty! Baby khichdi was not charged as well. Would recommend everyone to visit the place if you want to spend some time in a quiet place amongst greenery and go for the all day food package.
Prices are reasonable, value for money. Only suggestion to the management get some new good quality bed sheet and pillow covers.
Overall enjoyed our time in Kava retreat thoroughly. Must visit place.
I am actually sitting in the stay and writing this . The stay , the food and the cleanliness is fabulous . I hv never been to such beautiful home stay before . The food that they prepare is so good that u feel it’s home cooked . They provide snacks In the evening and sides too if you are boozing here . It’s a 5/5 , I must say . Very happy I chose this property among other expensive ones . The price is very reasonable and the hospitality is Top notch 👌 👌.. This will be my stay for every time I visit Chikmagalur . Looking forward To Come and stay here again ..! Cheers 🥂

Contacted Mr Ravi who owns this place and he immediately explained the things and booking T&C.
Place: Easily accessible from main road. Clean and hygienic place. With all aminities and property is kids friendly as they have proper kids play area and outdoor sport equipments for Cricket, Badminton, Basket ball.
Hospitality: 5 Stars to the team. Mr. Shivanna Manager and Santosh care taker, are really soft spoken and humble people. They are available 24hrs in the property for any help. They guide and suggest you to visit the places of attraction which are nearby. Room maintenance is good.
Food: This is awesome and scores full 5 star in this place I should say.
Chef Mr Suresh prepares tasty and quality food. They even ask for spicy level as we had a toddler with us and he took care of her food priority. NO fuss or anything. My toddler got adjusted to them in just 3 days.
A beautiful home stay in the middle of a coffee estate. Amazing and welcoming staffs who deserves all the credits as they made sure that we were at home. The food was brilliant , stay was very clean with all basic necessities provided. Ample space for kids to play around. Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxing staycation. Swimming pool would have been an added advantage which they are working on as I came to know.
Amazing place to have a digital detox. Quiet and amidst nature. Very well maintained and host, Mr Ravi Kumar and family and Manager, Parveen, are really friendly and went out of a limb to make sure our stay is comfortable. Brilliant food and coffee. Lot of outdoor game options. Campfire and eve snacks are the highlight for us.
Brilliant for both couples and a big group of family or friends.
If you are a bird watcher, carry a binoculars, you can easily find 14-15 different kinds of birds around the stay.
